Fixed Wing Aircraft

Legacy AIR1 utilizes the Cessna 172 for aerial surveys and patrols due to its reliability and versatility. The Cessna 172 is a four-seat, single-engine aircraft known for its stability and excellent visibility. Our fixed-wing service offers extended range and endurance, allowing for efficient coverage of large areas. The Cessna 172 can operate from short runways, giving us access to remote locations and reducing transit times. It accommodates various sensor payloads and can maintain steady flight paths, ideal for consistent data collection. This enables Legacy Aero Group to provide cost-effective solutions for clients needing extensive aerial coverage. The Cessna 172 has a typical payload capacity of 950 lbs and a range of up to 640 nautical miles, cruising at speeds around 122 knots (approximately 140 MPH).

Rotary Wing Aircraft

Legacy AIR1 employs Rotary Wing Aircraft for precise gas leak detection, leveraging their exceptional maneuverability at low altitudes and speeds. The Robinson R44, a piston-engine helicopter with seating for four, offers an optimal balance of efficiency and cost-effectiveness. This versatile aircraft can be easily transported via trailer to remote locations, significantly reducing ferry and flight time expenses. The R44's ability to support multiple payloads, coupled with its agility in site-to-site transitions, enables rapid inspection of multiple facilities. This operational efficiency translates to maximum value for Legacy Aero Group's clients during facility inspections. With a substantial maximum payload of 748 lbs and an impressive range exceeding 350 miles at speeds of 104 knots (over 120 mph), the Robinson R44 stands out as a powerful and flexible solution for aerial inspection tasks.

Legacy AIR1 deploys the cutting-edge DJI Matrice series M350 for precision aerial operations. This advanced unmanned aerial system (UAS) boasts an impressive 55-minute flight time on a single battery charge, enabling extended mission capabilities. Equipped with RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) positioning, the M350 delivers centimeter-level accuracy for mapping and inspection tasks.  The M350's versatility shines through its ability to carry multiple payloads simultaneously, accommodating various sensors for specialized data collection. This makes it an ideal choice for detailed site surveys, infrastructure inspections, and small-area mapping projects. With its compact size and rapid deployment, the M350 offers Legacy Aero Group's clients a cost-effective solution for gathering high-resolution data in confined or sensitive locations where larger aircraft are impractical.
