Wade Wilson

Wade Wilson is a seasoned entrepreneur and energy industry veteran with over two decades of experience in renewable energy, project development, and innovative technology solutions. His career began in the late 1990s when he co-developed and constructed the first licensed fuel ethanol plant in Texas, demonstrating his early commitment to renewable energy.

His expertise spans various sectors, including wind energy development, electric transmission projects, and agricultural consulting. Wade’s work in wind energy resulted in the construction of over 500 MW of wind power capacity. He was also a founding participant in the "Santa Fe" electric transmission project, later known as the Centennial West project.

In 2011, Wade developed a user-friendly GIS mapping system and contributed to the creation of a right-of-way project database, showcasing his ability to innovate in project management and technology. His project portfolio includes significant electric transmission line projects across multiple states, demonstrating his proficiency in managing complex, large-scale energy infrastructure initiatives.

In 2017, he co-founded Legacy PSG, Inc. (Project Services Group) with Felicia Rawlins, offering comprehensive services in land, construction, and technology support for energy providers and utilities.

Most recently, Wade founded Legacy AIR1, born from his research into aerial methane detection solutions for Legacy Aero Group. During this process, he met Jim Couch, owner of Aeroplane Manufactory and holder of rights to produce the Chinook Light Sport Aircraft. Recognizing an opportunity, he purchased the company from the retiring Couch and relocated operations to Plainview, TX, where he had already established a Light Sport Training Center and Mechanics operations.

Through Legacy AIR1, Wade combines his extensive experience in energy, project management, and technology with his passion for aviation, positioning the company at the forefront of innovative aerial solutions for the energy sector.
